Business Intelligence Analyst

The Business Intelligence Analyst will provide Business Systems analysis for programs/systems that interact with Thomson Reuters industry leading business intelligence (BI) solutions.

Fulfill, support, and deliver BI requests for Information Operations

Participate in the SDLC of BI projects

Prioritize tasks with great project management skills to fully utilize processes and talents in Information Operations to assist the division in their financial and business goals

Collaborate with business stakeholders throughout various departments to assist in fulfilling requests

Utilize analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills to efficiently deliver BI solutions within the defined SLAs to meet or exceed customer expectations

Employ expert level knowledge of evolving products, business systems, and business processes to efficiently deliver BI solutions

Participate in the development of Crystal Reports, SQL queries, and SQL stored procedures to synthesize information from multiple data sources, systems, and reports to provide BI solutions meeting a high quality of standards

Deliver and maintain BI solutions primarily on the SAPs Business Objects platform and via MS Office

Contribute to the continued success of Marketing and Sales initiatives via SQL development to data mine and precisely target audiences in our business systems and prepare data for delivery

Become proficient in, document, and update current Information Operation's BI processes

Maintain Information Operations report catalogue and file store reports

Maintain and troubleshoot BI objects via SAP Business Objects Central

Management Console (CMC)

Collaborate with BI Engineers to develop, automate and improve BI processes, efficiencies and accuracy

Participate in BI solution testing and quality assurance efforts

IT, BS or similar undergraduate degree or 5 years of equivalent experience

2 years of T-SQL query and stored procedure development experience required.

2 years of Software Development Life Cycle experience (focusing in Business Systems development) required.

2 years in Business Intelligence platform administration experience (Crystal Reports, SAP Business Objects administration XIR3 or higher) required.

4 years of business systems and/or financial analytical experience required.

MS SQL certification preferred.

2 years using VB.net preferred

2 years programming experience preferred.

2 years Visual Source Safe or code management experience preferred.

2 years AP BO Crystal Reports development experience preferred.
