"This role sits within our Financial & Risk ("F&R") business. On January 30, 2018, Thomson Reuters announced that it signed a definitive agreement to enter into a strategic partnership with private equity funds managed by Blackstone related to the company's F&R business. As part of the transaction, Thomson Reuters has agreed to sell a 55% majority stake in Financial & Risk and will retain a 45% interest in the business. Thomson Reuters will maintain full ownership of its Legal, Tax & Accounting and the Reuters News businesses. The transaction is expected to close in the second half of the year and is subject to specified regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions. JOB SUMMARY Position Overview The Associate - Investment Banking works directly with various clients across the globe such as investment banks, consulting firms, law firms, and various members of the financial community in providing high quality custom research and analyses. The Associate position will require extensive use of a wide range of both proprietary and third party resources to achieve this goal, including internal applications like Eikon,, SDC Platinum, Datastream, and other Thomson Reuters products. Because the role involves daily interaction with clients, candidates must possess strong communication skills, both written and oral, as well as superior analytical ability. Essential Responsibilities 1. Generate analytical reports such as, but not limited to, shareholder analytics, roadshow profiles, and deals analytics to assist in the origination and execution phases of equity and fixed income deals. 2. Create and develop quantitative institutional behaviour models for corporate finance groups. 3. Work closely with both recurring and one-off clients while identifying the data needed as well as providing the synthesized analytical reports. 4. Deliver all client orders within the agreed-upon deadlines or the group's SLA, whichever comes first while continually updating customers on progress status. 5. Interact with clients proactively and professionally to drive up levels of customer satisfaction and revenue generated. 6. Keep abreast of new or upcoming rules, regulations, document types, financial terms, etc. related to the SEC and the financial markets. 7. Assist or lead in creating new accounts as well as invoicing orders done by the team. 8. Own one's growth by exploring development opportunities such as trainings on core capabilities, internal databases and engaging with specialists. 9. Assist in ad hoc projects relating to accounts/clients or proprietary database/research, and when needed or assigned by TR On Demand Management or global counterparts. 10. Collaboratively work in conjunction with other Thomson Reuters business units to optimize services. QUALIFICATIONS Required Skills and Experience (must have): • Preferably with 2 years financial services industry experience, however fresh graduates are welcome to apply • Strong analytical ability • Understanding of company financials and have a fair knowledge of the financial markets • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Attention to detail • Ability to multi-task on simultaneous projects • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel • Willingness to be assigned on any shift as required by the business • Willingness to provide weekend monitoring or at least 1 day weekend coverage Desired Skills and Experience (nice to have): • Knowledge of Thomson Reuters product and service offerings • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills • Proficiency with VBA, .NET or other programming languages • Foreign language aptitude (e.g. Japanese, Korean, French, Spanish, German, Italian, etc.) Education / Certifications Required: • Bachelor's degree preferably in Business Management or Administration, Finance or Economics • Chartered Financial Analyst (desired
