About This Position

We are looking for a program manager with a strong background in agile/lean to help power our growth efforts in the Tax & Accounting Corporate business. Working with one of our specialist Tax segments – Direct Tax, Transfer Pricing, Trust & Information Reporting, Indirect & Property Tax, and Global Compliance & Reporting – or building services that support them, our agile program managers blend their proven program execution skills and their practical experience with agile teams to create and support a healthy and successful enterprise-oriented delivery environment.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Working and coaching teams to create agile program plans
  • Helping teams to select or develop processes and methodologies that support their strategic plans
  • Helping teams develop and maintain solid agile working principles and agreements
  • Helping teams develop metrics that drive continuous improvement, and that create visibility for, and engagement with, business stakeholders
  • Helping teams design release plans that effectively mitigate dependencies and risks
  • Helping teams identify/adapt tools that support their process needs
  • Coaching team members, supporting project-based agile leads, and facilitating agile ceremonies where needed
  • Helping teams translate enterprise-level demands and expectations into actionable agile practices and artifacts (eg estimating, release planning)
  • Creating program-level reporting for Technology and Business Unit stakeholders
  • Working with teams to design and maintain a forecasting model
  • Working with teams to track and communicate spending patterns
  • Working with Technology leaders to track external costs
  • Supporting Technology leaders in creating reports and documentation for the enterprise
  • Financial planning & resource planning
  • Promoting cost awareness and fiscal responsibility, and balancing capital and expense spending for your teams
  • Supporting decision-making around work allocation to agile teams or to external vendors
  • Contributing to annual budget planning and business cases development
  • Supporting the broader Delivery Effectiveness effort across the Corporate Tax Technology portfolio
  • Working with other AMPs across the portfolio to share best practices, create a support network, and cultivate a learning environment
  • Evangelizing lean software development principles across the enterprise
  • Helping the business unit make smart strategic choices based solid performance data and forecasts

  • Agile team members; development engineers, business analysts, quality engineers, user experience designers
  • Finance managers

Your Background and skills:

  • 5 years practical experience in a software development environment
  • 3 years practical experience in an agile leadership capacity
  • 3 Experience of agile management tools (eg Jira, VersionOne, TFS, Aha!)
  • Project or program management certification desirable (eg PMP, PgPMP)
  • Agile certification desirable (eg Scrum Alliance, SAFe)
  • Strong data analysis and presentation skills; proficiency in excel a must, and experience of data visualization tools (eg Tableau, Qlik) desirable
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
