Job Description

The Washington Post is looking for an assistant systems editor to join our Newsroom Logistics team.

Newsroom Logistics supports Washington Post journalists with equipment, security and technical issues. For this entry-level position, we are looking for someone who embraces technology, enjoys the challenge of troubleshooting problems, understands the urgent needs of a 24/7 newsroom and can be calm under pressure. Extensive previous experience in IT or tech support is not required but a willingness to learn, the ability to do so quickly and an insatiable curiosity all are. Working knowledge of cellphone and laptop technology, software and security protocols is a plus.

This position is based in our Washington newsroom and is not eligible for remote work. Occasional evening and weekend work is expected.
