Manager, Account Management

Building positive relationships is at the core of our mission, and we’re looking for a Manager, Account Management who will lead the team that provides our clients with top service, excellent product, and creative solutions. We’re a hardworking and fun-loving group, and we need someone who’s motivated to lead, encourage, and nurture the relationships between The Muse and our clients, and those within the account team.

How you’ll make an impact

  • You’ll develop a deep understanding of The Muse’s clients, platform, products, and mission
  • You’ll coach, manage, and mentor a team of 6+ Account Managers who work with our business clients like Facebook, HBO, and Dropbox
  • You’ll provide hands-on management that includes weekly 1:1’s, upsell and call coaching, performance reviews, and more
  • You’ll support your team to meet monthly retention and upsell revenue quotas
  • You’ll effectively synthesize and communicate client needs to the Head of Account Management, and act as a client champion within the company
  • You’ll keep a pulse on industry trends, contributing to the development of best practices that increase client acquisition and engagement and drive efficiencies internally for the team
  • You’ll assist with escalated client issues and concerns, by coaching the team on how to effectively problem solve and rolling up your sleeves to jump on calls when needed
  • You’ll live The Muse brand and culture through your passion for account management and desire to help others achieve personal and professional goals

  • You have 4+ years of sales or account management experience with 2-3+ years of people management experience, leading teams of 4 or more direct reports

  • You’re experienced in motivating a team to hit goals for retention and upsell revenue and can clearly articulate a vision for the team to follow
  • You’re excited to work collaboratively with other members of the account team including client success and onboarding
  • You’re known for your exemplary work ethic, positive attitude, and can-do spirit
