ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM: As the Head of Sales of WeddingWire India you will be the business champion and hold primary responsibility for revenue production, and operational effectiveness for one of the most dynamic, high growth divisions at The Knot Worldwide. In this capacity you will be responsible for strategic planning, business growth, operations, leadership and personnel. Working directly with the President of International Growth at The Knot Worldwide, you will lead the transformation of this business unit into a sales powerhouse. 


  • Architect the strategic vision to grow WeddingWire India in support of The Knot Worldwide’s growth strategies and objectives 
  • Build expert-level understanding of the wedding vendor business vertical and develop and implement corresponding sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue goals
  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing monthly sales quotas for regions and projecting expected sales volumes and profit for existing and new products.
  • Establish key performance metrics for business to drive decisions
  • Monitor, measure, and report on operational issues, opportunities and development plans against company objectives 
  • Lead and manage a team responsible for day-to-day operations (sales, customer service, account management, and business development)
  • Develop and manage operational budgets, and perform periodic cost and productivity analysis
  • Recruit, develop and refresh talent 
  • Interact with the Executive Team, Investors and Board of Directors on business updates and progress towards key objectives 


  • 12+ years of experience in SMB sales leadership roles 
  • Motivational leader with a growth mindset who can set and clearly articulate the team mission and vision 
  • Proven track record of building successful client relationships across India
  • Understanding of financial management, forecasting and managing budgets
  • Proven success moving quickly to transform businesses and deliver top and bottom line growth 
  • Working knowledge of leading sales practices, metrics and operational processes 
  • MBA or other advanced degree strongly preferred
