POSITION PURPOSE
The position of the Forklift Operator, loads and unloads bulky and heavy merchandise from trucks and railcars. Individuals in this position move material outdoors and/or within the Distribution Center and from the loading platform by carrying or lifting, as well as operating forklifts or other material handling equipment.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
50%-Loads and unloads trucks and railcars
10%- Places incoming product in assigned storage locations
5%- Relocates product as required
25%- Selects products for orders and loads safely
5%- Compiles with deadlines and productivity standards
5%- Additional duties as assigned by management

Typically reports to Operations Manager
No Direct reports
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Environment:
Usually in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to elements.
Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of time
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
