Are you an experienced .NET with cloud technologies, looking to be a part of a cloud transformation? This role will have a Hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of working in an office location (Hartford, CT; Sunrise, FL; Charlotte, NC; Chicago, IL; Columbus, OH) 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).
Job Description:
- Ability to design and implement new software architecture patterns in Cloud that are scalable, highly available, secure, easily maintainable and cost efficient, adhering industry/HIG standards such as multi region support with fault tolerant.
- Participate in the design, development, testing and debugging of an application.
- Participate in code reviews, both of your own code and as a reviewer.
- Conducts technical research on new technology for possible new aspects of a product or components needing redesign or updating.
- Collaborate and partner with fellow developers to design, develop, implement, and support complex technical solutions.
- Mentor Jr team members as they embark on their individual software engineering journey.
- Translate business requirements into technical design, adhering to principles, patterns and guardrails established by the GB IT.
- Highly knowledgeable with hands on experience of Amazon Web Services including but not limited to Lambda, CloudWatch, ECS, EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, SNS, SQS, EventBridge, DynamoDB, API Gateway, KMS, Service Catalog.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science (or related technical field) or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of software development experience and best practices
- 3+ years of API development, implementing/integrating with databases, testing, and troubleshooting experience.
- In addition, position requires 4 years of experience in the following skills: Object oriented programming methodologies, C#, .Net Framework, .NET Core, NUnit, Micro Services, Swagger, Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Git and any version control concepts, Continuous integration, and DevOps methodologies. Github, Jenkins, UDeploy, Terraform, Ansible and SQL.
- Experience with any relational databases including SQL
- Have experience in security best practices for software and data platforms Enjoy solving problems through the entire application stack
- Are interested and capable of learning other programming languages as needed.
- Experience working in SAFe agile methodology environment.
- Nice to have AWS developer certification.
This role will have a Hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).

Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$114,720 - $172,080
