The Senior Product Owner will be responsible for prioritizing features based on value to business and technical considerations as well as ensuring alignment of product strategy with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop roadmap and backlog for Enterprise AI applications in partnership with business stakeholders.
- Prioritize feature requests based on strategic fit, business value, complexity, risk, and resource availability.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including software engineering, architecture, product management, marketing, legal, compliance, security, etc. to ensure timely delivery of high quality solutions.
- Collaborate with business leaders to identify opportunities for automation through artificial intelligence and machine learning.
- Lead initiatives to streamline development processes and improve team efficiency.
- Communicate progress, risks, and tradeoffs to leadership regularly. Establish and enforce agile practices such as continuous integration, continuous deployment, and test driven development.
- Participate in code reviews and sprint ceremonies.
- Maintain a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum five years of experience working as a product owner or similar role
- Experience leading agile teams.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, testing, and deployment practices.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to balance competing demands and maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
- Familiarity with agile project management methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
- Self-motivated and results oriented.
- Detail oriented.
- Proven ability to lead through influence rather than authority.
- Background in Data Science is preferred
Candidate must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. The company will not support the STEM OPT I-983 Training Plan endorsement for this position.
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$109,520 - $164,280
