Position Overview

Boeing is looking for a Mid-Level Systems Engineer for our Oklahoma City, OK facility. The systems engineer will be an integral member of the B-52 Commercial Engine Replacement Program (CERP) Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) team. The successful candidate is a self-starter with the ability to plan, design, develop, and verify a balanced life-cycle system solution is achieved. They will be able to engage design teams and sub-tier suppliers.

Work Authorization:

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship

Position Responsibilities:
  • Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
  • Evaluate customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.
  • Analyzes total system of systems and/or system architecture for optimization.
  • Analyzes quality factors for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.
  • Leads, develops, maintains and identifies improvements the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
  • Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
  • Evaluates customer and/or operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.
  • Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.
  • Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.
  • Develops the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.

Preferred Qualifications/Desired Skills (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience working on developmental programs
  • System Engineering knowledge of requirements management in DOORS and verification trace
  • Experience with Aircraft engine operation, integration, controls and displays
  • Previous experience working with systems interfaces and developing Interface Control Documents (ICDs)
  • Previous experience working with requirements decomposition
  • Experience with Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) process and tools

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master +3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range: 97.020 - 118,580
