The Boeing Phantom Works Division is seeking Entry Level Software Engineers. Phantom Works is headquartered in St. Louis, MO area, but positions may be located in Berkeley, MO, Philadelphia, PA, Mesa, AZ, Huntsville, AL, Colorado Springs, CO, Washington DC, and several sites in Southern California.

We are looking for Software Engineers who use disciplined approaches for the design, development, operation, maintenance, and documentation of software and firmware components and computing systems. They use the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support the generation of engineering applications and environments. Some of the many environments we support are: laboratory simulation systems, airplane flight control and display systems, avionics, mechanical and electrical systems, weapons armament, commercial and military aircraft systems, mobile and ground-based defense systems, space systems, and network centric operations (NCO). Chosen candidates will interfaces with customers, suppliers, application users, and other technical and support personnel.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for software systems.
  • Develop and maintain code and integrate software components into a fully functional software systems.
  • Assist with test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met.
  • Gather information to support software project management.
  • Document deployed processes and tools and collect metrics.
  • Troubleshoot software issues.
  • Support software research and development projects.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is require

BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate of Science degree in a Technical Field (i.e. engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, or similar)
  • Experience with real-time software architecture and design methodologies
  • Experience with software and hardware interfaces

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Proficient in Windows or Linux Operating Systems, C++, and Python

Typical Education/Experience:

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Summary pay range: $51,660 - $95,940
