Boeing Defense, Space, & Security (BDS) located in Oklahoma City, is seeking highly qualified Mission Systems Communication Manager (level K) to develop leading edge solutions to directly support the warfighter. Primary work assignment will be across the AWACS and AEW&C platforms. Boeing Oklahoma City is experiencing growth across all of its supported platforms due to the award of multiple new contracts.

Boeing OKC supports the following platforms; Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) for USAF, Saudi, France and NATO, Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) for Australia, Turkey, USAF, United Kingdom and Korea, B-1 Strike Bomber, B-2 Stealth Bomber, B-52 Heavy Bomber, and the ALCM weapon. Also, US and International Head of State special purpose aircraft. These platforms continue to be updated to keep them relevant and supportive of emerging military needs. Upgrades include Starlink, MUOS and SATURN upgrades.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Oklahoma City location.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Leads, develops and motivates employees performing communication system upgrades on various platforms.
  • Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of communication system upgrades.
  • Develops and completes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years' of engineering experience
  • 1+ years' leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications/Desired Skills (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Communication system integration experience
  • Electrical Engineering degree
  • Experience with Earned Value Management or Control Account Management supporting DoD contracts.

Summary pay range: $128,350 - $173,650
