The Boeing Companyis currently seeking a talented Mid-Level Web Designer to join the Creative & Digital team to support Communications in all-things web.

This position will focus on working with creative leads, user experience, graphic designers and front-end developers to create amazing web sites for both our external and internal audiences.

This candidate will work digital projects from concept to delivery, working collaboratively with the team to design solutions for the largest digital properties Boeing has to offer.

Position responsibilities
  • Produces creative visual content for multiple channels, including internal and external facing websites
  • Works with project managers, creative leads and business partners to understand the scope as well as guide content and story architecture for web experiences
  • Collaborates closely with other cross-functional teams, such as user experience, digital strategist, writing/editing and developers
  • Provides designs which are compliant with established brand guidelines and style guides
  • Prepares and presents proposals regarding web design, content, features, standards, and creative new approaches to digital communications
  • Provides feedback to outside agencies and contractors on design and brand-adherence

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. Occasional travel is required but would be less than 10%.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 3+ years of experience with responsive and mobile design
  • 3+ years of experience with advanced prototyping tools such as Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, InVision and/or Flinto
  • 3+ years of experience working in cross-functional teams
  • 3+ years of experience in a role which required strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Online portfolio (traditional, web and/or video)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Able to communicate your ideas conceptually and provide design rationale in both written and verbal formats
  • Knowledge of user experience strategies
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JAVA Script
  • Experience with Content Management Systems
  • Detail-oriented and a critical thinker

Typical Education & Experience:

Bachelor's and typically 6 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary pay range: $71,400 - $110,400
