The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Mid-Level Environmental Engineer to join our Global Environmental Compliance and Permitting team in San Antonio, TX.

The selected candidate's primary responsibility will be to support implementation of the environmental compliance program for the site. The candidate will support permit compliance, company commitments to reduce energy, hazardous waste and water use, and other critical environmental related activity to protect the environment.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Develops, implements and monitors environmental management systems, processes and programs
  • Assesses the impact of emerging environmental issues, legislation and regulations on company operations
  • Acts as primary site collaborate with regulatory agencies

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in San Antonio, TX.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post Start is required.

BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelors of Science (or greater) from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry, or other technical degree
  • 3+ years of experience performing environmental compliance duties related to Air Pollution Control, Hazardous Waste Management, and/or Storm Water Management

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelors degree or higher
  • 5+ years of experience managing external environmental audits conducted by regulatory agencies
  • Resource Conservation Recovery Act compliance
  • Experience with Title V permit administration, emission reporting, SARA 311, 312, and 313 reporting
  • Experience developing, implementing and monitoring environmental management systems, processes and programs

Typical Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification.

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Summary pay range: $90,100 - $121,900
