Digital Receiver Technology (DRT), based in Germantown, Maryland is seeking a Business Development professional to join their team. Duties include identifying current and future customer requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual customers.
Position Responsibilities:
- Proposal writing and presentations. Lead RFI, RFQ, RFP pursuits.
- Responsible for all aspects of sales, marketing, and business development of DRT SIGINT products and systems to an assigned or developed DOD customer segment
- Customer engagements at a high level.
- Establish rapport and maintain good working relationships internally and externally. Ability to work across multiple organizations; finance, engineering, program management, business development, contracts, field operations. Work as part of a team within DRT, Boeing and customers.
- Responsible for assigned orders plan in accordance with corporate goals and objectives
- Will generate and maintain current a forecast of orders from assigned DOD customer segment
- Attend training on DRT product line and become thoroughly familiar with the equipment and its functionality
- Will play an integral role in proposal preparation and submission activity in response to RFP, RFQ and white paper requests
This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Experience with SIGINT and COMINT
- Generate technical white papers to RFI's.
- Experience working within or with Military or DoD customers
- A demonstrated track record as a high-performance team member
- Experience as a proven leader with strong written, verbal communications and presentation skills.
- Experience developing negotiating strategies, obtaining management approval and closing negotiations
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent or higher
- Active Top Secret is preferred
Typical Education & Experience:
Technical bachelor's degree and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 12 or more years' or a PhD degree with typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Relocation:
This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
Travel:
Up to 25-50% may be required. (Department of Defense (DOD) & Prime Contractor accounts (not a standard 40 hour per week position))
