The Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) Systems Software Integration and Test team for the Bombers Group in Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, has an opening for an Entry Level Systems Test Engineer. The selected candidate will report to the Software Integration and Test Manager and would apply an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to assist with analyses, design, development and verification of a lifecycle balanced system solutions for integrated software.

Position Responsibilities
  • Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met.
  • Collaborates with external Integrated Product Teams (IPTs)
  • Develops, executes project and process plans and leads process improvements.
  • Reviews/develops requirements, designs and schedules for Software Development across various domains and capabilities to achieve program requirements.
  • Provides recommendations for technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Ensures software satisfies requirements and runs adequately by writing and running Acceptance Test Procedures.
  • Reviews, verifies, and traces Software requirements.
  • Translates software requirements into Software test verification processes and tasks.
  • Manages relationships within the Integrated Product Team (IPT).
  • Reviews and follows Boeing processes for defining the customer product, delivery and support.
  • Develops new/revised processes in support of customer requirements and/or changes in company guidelines.
  • Assists in the performance of day-to-day operations including system design, integration, and test of the System Software.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or science by June 2023.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience conducting test in a lab, production and/or university environment.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Current Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or science
  • Engineering experience in both integration lab and ground/flight test environments.
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment (usually between multiple sites).
  • The selected candidate must be comfortable in a highly collaborative environment (usually between multiple sites) and possess demonstrated creative, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary pay range: $62,900 - $85,100
