Boeing is seeking experienced Calibration Specialiststo join our team in one of the following locations Seattle and Renton, WA.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Plan, check, set up, and operate, basic Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE) and/or process equipment
  • Use calibration standards to calibrate, adjust, certify, maintain, and repair M&TE/process equipment using approved calibration procedures, process specifications, equipment drawings, and M&TE /process equipment manufacturer's performance specifications

  • Conduct routine tests, analyze data and document results
  • Troubleshoot and recommend resolution of basic laboratory and test-related problems
  • Route M&TE/process equipment between receiving area, customer, and calibration lab
  • Update equipment status using established systems and complete associated paperwork
  • Ensure equipment is ready for calibration per metrology processes
  • Prioritize and perform work according to automated daily report list, hot list, or as assigned by higher grade technician
  • Perform visual check of M&TE/process equipment for discrepancies and wear
  • Identify, document, and route non-conforming items in accordance with metrology lab processes
  • Provide information and clarification to customers on metrology processes
  • Work with higher graded employees engaged in the calibration and certification of M&TE, and assist in the development of new calibration processes and procedures
  • Use Microsoft Excel to perform computations necessary to analyze measurement test results
  • Basic M&TE and process equipment e.g. Digital meters, probes, scopes, precision hand tools, process tools, surface plates, levels, optical instruments (2D and 3D), and items used to measure and record: force, mass, pressure, vacuum, temperature and hardness
  • Experience reading and using tooling and production drawings

  • This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

    The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
    • 3+ years of experience calibrating and/or using Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE) or a Bachelor's degree in a technical field in lieu of that experience
    • 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite
    • Ability to frequently lift, push, and pull up to 35 pounds frequently within an 8 hour shift

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
    • 1+ years of experience of performing electrical calibrations in a laboratory
    • Precision metrology equipment lab training

    Typical Education:

    High school graduate or GED preferred.

    Relocation:

    This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

    Shift:

    This position is for variable shifts.

    Summary pay range: $24.50 - $45.30
