The Boeing Company is seeking a motivated and talented Associate Training Device Technician to join the team at the Miami Training Campus in Florida. The Training Device Technician will maintain flight simulators and associated training equipment, perform general inspections for pre-operations, post-operations and perform general inspections for pre-operations, post-operations and component handling of training devices, assemblies and components

This position will be based in Miami, FL. All candidates must live in the Miami, Fl. site area or be prepared to move at their own expense. Position Responsibilities:
  • Perform general inspections for pre-operations, post-operations and component handling of training device;
  • Conduct functional tests of training device systems and monitors device instrumentation and bench mounted equipment.
  • Assist with repair and test, install, configure, upgrade and assist in the modification of simulators and training components, devices, hardware and software;
  • Perform general inspections for pre-operations, post-operations and component handling of training devices, assemblies and components;
  • Conduct functional tests of training device systems and monitors device instrumentation and bench mounted indicators;
  • Assist engineers in troubleshooting systems and support equipment;
  • Troubleshoot to isolate faults and repair faulty components;
  • Work under limited supervision

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Ability to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime. Some positions may also be rotating shifts.
  • 1+ years' experience in troubleshooting and testing hardware and software systems.
  • 1+ years' experience with electronic/electrical systems

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 1+ years' experience in the field of simulation, particularly aircrew (flight) simulators and/or trainers
  • Simulator, Avionics, Hydraulics, and IT experience

Typical Education/ Experience:

AA degree in related discipline and typically 1 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Relocation:

This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary pay range: 49,300 - 66,700
