Boeing South Carolina 787 Production Engineering team in Midbody is seeking Associate Manufacturing Engineers to support the production system build plan in either our Structures, Systems, or Electrical Wiring commodities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Integrates producibility and manufacturability knowledge, information and requirements into the acquire and define program phases as the designated Integrated Product Team (IPT) interface.
  • Conceptualizes, designs and manages the program architecture for build.
  • Defines, develops and implements the manufacturing plan and represents the program as the primary manufacturing integrator throughout the acquire, define, produce and support phases of the product life cycle.
  • Develops advanced manufacturing and engineering technologies and advocates, teaches and deploys company Lean Enterprise analysis methods and application of lean processes and tools.
  • Interfaces with regulatory agencies, professional associations, suppliers and internal and external customers to implement program initiatives.

Work Authorization Statement:

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
  • Must have ABET accredited bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in an highly integrated manufacturing environment to implement solutions focused on safety, quality, and productivity to optimize production system.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • One of more years of experience using 787 systems such as ENOVIA, CATIA, DELMIA, ETAC, IVT, REDARS/EID, CDS, E-Plan, Build Plan Change Request (BPCR), Bill of Material Management Tool (BMT).
  • One or more years of experience interrogating and understanding 787 engineering requirements and intent, BAC specifications, and D-6 documents.
  • Previous or current role as a Manufacturing Engineer working in a Boeing Commercial Airplane manufacturing environment.

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

  • This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Associate Level: $75,650- $102,350
