The Auto Club Group (ACG) provides membership, travel, insurance and financial services offerings to approximately 9 million members and customers across 11 states and 2 U.S. territories through the AAA, Meemic and Fremont brands. ACG belongs to the national AAA federation and is the second largest AAA club in North America.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities (details of the basic job functions):
Assists in resolving employee issues by communicating policy, responding to inquiries, providing services to management, investigating issues, gathering data and preparing reports that enable management to make informed decisions that are in compliance legally and with Club policies and guidelines.
Responsible for conducting exit interviews. Individual will also be responsible for compiling information for and responding to inquiries from local, state and federal agencies and responding to basic unemployment claims.

Acts as first point of contact for receiving incoming employee relations calls. Evaluates the scope of issues. Seeks advice from Sr. Employee Relations Specialist, and Manager, Employee Relations as needed.
Administers various human resources plans and procedures for employees. Assists in developing and implementing human resources policies and procedures. Prepares related communications and correspondence.
Researches, gathers documentation, and analyzes data to assist management and corporate counsel in investigating, answering and settling legal claims.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Human Resources certification
- Knowledge of ACG personnel policies and procedures
- Knowledge of State and Federal employment laws and regulations
Work Environment:
Works in a temperature controlled office environment.
Required Qualifications (these are the minimum requirements to qualify):
Education (include minimum education and any licensing/certifications):
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Human Resource management or equivalent
- Attain the appropriate Human Resources certification within one year of hire
Experience:
- HR experience
- Developing, interpreting, and administering personnel policies and procedures
- Employee counseling, coaching, or evaluating
Knowledge and Skills:
- Standard concepts, practices and procedures within the employee relations field including ADA, FLSA, EEO, FMLA
- Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to successfully work within a team environment and maintain good working relationships are required
