Deposit Operations Associate
The Auto Club Group (ACG) provides membership, travel, insurance and financial services offerings to approximately 9 million members and customers across 11 states and 2 U.S. territories through the AAA, Meemic and Fremont brands. Primary Duties and Responsibilities (details of the basic job functions):
Performs a variety of duties to support the Deposit Operations of the bank including reviewing/analyzing and correcting deposit non-post entries, resolving/reporting any on-going/underlying issues, monitoring Reg D, inactive and dormant account status and sending appropriate notices. Etc. Reviews the following: daily stop payments regarding decisions, coding new and existing deposit accounts, setup of new and closed safety deposit boxes, stop payments to ensure correct procedures were followed. Performs account maintenance including address/name changes and reviewing accounts and records for accuracy.
Assists management with dormant and escheat processes. Performs teller balancing function and maintains CAP Exceptions and follows up with branch personnel for resolution of exceptions. Reviews cash in transit and other teller related GL activity. Processes CD interest check transactions and performs return mail process and closed account review. Assists management with testing of new and/or upgraded deposit operation system applications.
Banking experience in/with:
- banking operations
- Accounting, auditing, retail banking and retail and/or loan compliance.
- Fiserv systems, including Premier Navigator, Premier Teller and Easy Lender.
Work in a temperature-controlled office environment.
Required Qualifications (these are the minimum requirements to qualify):
Education (include minimum education and any licensing/certifications):
- High School diploma or equivalent
- branch and back office deposit operations including bank general ledger operations
- PC software application (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- managing time in order to respond to deadlines
- analyzing and correcting deposit non-post entries
Knowledge and Skills:
- laws and regulations related to deposit operations
- maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- work under pressure and
- excellent communication skills
