Customer Service Executive (French Speaking)


Operating in 21 countries (including 12 in Europe, TerraCycle is a world leader in the recycling of generally non-recyclable waste, such as pens, snack wrappers, baby food pouches beauty product packaging, home care product packaging and even the likes of cigarette butts. We create collection and recycling solutions systems for anything that would otherwise be sent to landfill. Collection locations include schools, offices, community groups, industrial sites and a wide variety of other organisations as well as homes. TerraCycle then turns collected waste into a wide variety of materials that are made (by third parties) into new product.

The company seeks to hire a French Speaking Customer Service responsible for managing TerraCycle's customer service and public drop off network primarily for the French market but also across a number of other markets. Using pre-determined processes and with the support of other language speakers across the business the Customer Service Executive will be responsible for customer service in multiple languages.

The position is based in Perivale, West London and reports to the Customer Relations Manager.


  • Overseeing and handling TerraCycle Customer Service via telephone and email
  • Supporting the development of standard responses and procedures to facilitate the management of customer service in all required European languages
  • Seeking the necessary language support from colleagues in other departments as required
  • Managing TerraCycle's public drop off location network
  • Calling locations that have applied to be a drop off location
  • Updating the public drop off location maps
  • Proactive outreach to potential new locations
  • Sending out public location collection boxes to accepted locations
  • Facilitating the Growth / Success of the Public Drop off Location Network
  • Growing the number of public drop off locations where budget allows / developing the geographic spread where required via proactive outreach
  • Work with the marketing team to develop editable resources to help public location administrators grow their collections (May include, letters, guides, posters, videos etc)
  • Supporting webmaster duties
  • From time to time supporting TerraCycle operations and administrative tasks
  • Support other business functions as required, in particular where it pertains to specific language skills, this may include:
  • Marketing and communications translations
  • Public relations
  • Operations and supply chain


  • Fluent in both French as a 1st language and English with excellent communication skills (both spoken and written)
  • Customer Service experience
  • Experience of managing multiple priorities
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to speak another European language would be beneficial but not essential
  • A demonstrated interest in sustainable/green business would be beneficial but not essential


Salary: Up to £22,000 per annum depending on experience

25 Paid Holiday Days

Company Pension contribution up to 3% of salary
