Job Summary:

Tenaska Storage Solutions is one of the country's leading energy storage developers, with a multi-gigawatt portfolio currently in development across the United States and significant growth planned in the near future. The Manager, Project Development is responsible for management of activities necessary for the successful development of Tenaska Storage Solutions' energy storage project portfolios. The Manager is expected to support the development and commercial team leaders to successfully advance projects, oversee internal and external reporting obligations for the portfolios, ensure compliance with key contracts with investor partners, and oversee budgeting and financial reports for the storage business.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage project information for all energy storage portfolios in development, ensure timely and accurate distribution and filing of key project documents, and compile information into project dashboards.
  • Oversee preparation of recurring external and internal portfolio development reports.
  • Identify and implement technology solutions to improve reporting efficiency.
  • Maintain and keep current mapping information for all project locations, site plans, transmission connection lines and points of interconnection.
  • Monitor and track key customer Integrated Resource Plans to identify upcoming resource needs and solicitations for the storage team.
  • Prepare project proposals and offerings to customers and manage communications with customers as part of solicitation processes.
  • Provide Project Management role for projects assigned by the development lead, ensuring timely and successful completion of key project milestones consistent with the project schedule.
  • Provide research and evaluation of new markets and locations for new energy storage portfolios.
  • Must be able to travel on short notice for domestic overnight business.
  • Reliable, dependable and predictable attendance is required.
Education/Experience/Skills:
Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Three years of energy project management or related experience required.
  • Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and willingness to learn similar graphically-oriented software platforms such as Smartsheet, as well as experience using project mapping tools like Google Earth.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Outstanding ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including creating effective Power Point presentations.
  • Detail oriented, analytical mindset and inquisitive attitude.
  • Proactive approach toward identifying and solving problems, as well as seeking challenging experiences.
  • Strong work ethic, team attitude and willingness to work extended hours and travel up to 50%.
