Data Engineer/Analyst/Senior

Job Summary:

The Data Engineer/Analyst/Senior works directly with internal customers and subject matter experts in a flexible work environment. The candidate will design, develop, document, and support the data transformation processes to enrich our enterprise data solution. The Analyst designs and develops interactive visualizations and dynamic data solutions. The team member delivers high-quality, maintainable processes and follows department coding, project management, and design standards while adding key value to business operations.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop and maintain data pipelines to meet business and technical requirements
  • Design and develop new facts and dimensions for our dimensional data warehouse
  • Deliver visualizations and reporting, providing new insights to the business
  • Build end-to-end analytic solutions directly with business owners with minimal supervision
  • Participate in recurring meetings with stakeholders
  • Share responsibility of after-hours support of the data warehousing ecosystem
  • Continuously develop professional skills, evaluating current trends and technologies
  • Reliable, dependable, and predictable attendance is a requirement

Education/Experience/Skills

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related business degree
  • Experience using standard ETL tools such as Microsoft SSIS and Informatica
  • High level of SQL experience and expertise
  • Ability to design and develop complete analytical solutions in Tableau, Power BI, SSRS, and Excel
  • Proven experience delivering data integration solutions from conception to completion
  • Strong adherence to best-practices and standards

Preferred Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of relational database design principles, especially dimensional modeling
  • Understanding of source control, preferably Microsoft Team Foundation Services, Git
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and exceptional planning and organizational skills
  • Experience in cloud-based data pipeline tools such as Azure Data Factory
