Creative Services Intern

TED is seeking a smart and motivated intern who is inspired by TED’s mission to work on the partnerships team. The candidate must be an organized, self-motivated, problem solver who is comfortable juggling multiple projects and responsibilities. The internship will run 20 – 30 hours a week from December through April for pay or for university credit. This is a great chance to put a variety of skills to the test, and develop new ones along the way in areas such as client relations, communications, event production, research, project management, and more.

Please note that the TED office is in New York City and that TED cannot provide housing.


  • Available at least three days a week from December through April [with the possibility of extending through the end of the academic year, June 1st, 2017]
  • Strong editorial skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Fluency working with Google applications: Docs, Gmail, Maps, Calendar
  • Thrives in fast-paced environment
  • Works well in a high achieving group; not afraid to ask questions of fellow team members
  • Loves continuously analyzing and optimizing processes and tasks (how can we make this better, more efficient, more effective) to improve performance
  • Self-starting, self-motivated and ability to think on one’s feet
  • Strong communication skills

  • Assisting the Partnerships creative team in all aspects of day-to-day business
  • Updating and keeping team's internal database organized and up to date
  • Help with the research, logistics and planning of multiple partnership activations for the 2017 conference
  • Gathering, distributing and maintaining information (including all correspondence, client outreach, contracts and revisions) within the team for all assigned projects
  • Administrative support to the Partnership team as assigned
  • Helping with the partner attendee registration process for the TED2017 conference
