Job Overview
Due to an exciting growth period at our core manufacturing site in Hastings we currently have multiple CNC Turning opportunities open to all levels.
Here in Hastings we have the capability to take raw materials and finish the required component to specification all on site. We do this by utilising our 39 Multi Axis CNC Lathes.
In this role you will set and operate machines using Fanuc controls working to accurate specifications ensuring that components are produced correctly to drawings and delivered on time.
You will work within a cell of 6 machinists completing double day shifts (06:00 - 14:00 / 14:00 - 22:00) or Nights (22:00 - 06:00, Sunday to Thursday)
Job Responsibilities
• Set and operate CNC multi turret/spindle machines(Fanuc program control) ,
• Inspecting your own work and recording the results to ensure the required quality is maintained.
• Perform fast set-ups/changeovers essential.
• First off inspections.
• Complete accurately all necessary material movement paperwork (i.e. route cards, material traceability, program changes).
• Perform any additional operations necessary (including deburring) that are required to produce finished components.
• To set and operate manual machines as necessary.
• Involvement in continuous improvement activities / Lean processes.
What your background should look like:
We would like you to hold experience operating as a CNC Machinist / Operator ideally with knowledge of Fanuc Programming Control.
We would also like you to have experience in some or all of the following:
• Good understanding of Lean Manufacturing (4M's; 5S's etc.).
• Capable of taking drawing to part (read the drawing and make that part).
• Work effectively and resolve issues within a team environment.
• Be able to quality inspect your own work to the required quality
