Why We Need This Position
In the design world, the whole is often greater than the sum of its parts. The secret ingredient is successful collaboration. It takes a very particular type of person to inspire a group, nurture the creative process and draw out a diverse team’s individual talents, but with the right person at the helm, the results can be truly spectacular. Which is why we need you.
Who We’re Looking For
Yes, you have a passion for design, but your real talent is harnessing the wide-ranging skills of a highly motivated, multifaceted group of creative types and optimizing them to generate the results clients want—on time and on budget. You thrive on the challenge of creating design deliverables that consistently meet—or exceed—client expectations and always seeking to achieve the highest level of innovation, relevance, aesthetic appeal and usability. In addition to mentoring and guiding designers, you are responsible for making sure that your team has clarity on scope and direction and the appropriate staff, equipment and facility resources to get the job done. Layered on top of your strong creative vision and management skills is some solid business acumen, which you use to manage resources effectively and help with overhead expense budgets and revenue projections. If you have outstanding leadership-communication-business-creative talents, deep industrial design experience and a strong results-driven orientation, we’d love for you to come and help us “Design this Day.”
