About the job:

The Director of Content and Communications is responsible for planning, producing, and distributing best-in-class content that serves Taulia’s strategic priorities and bolsters the company’s brand pillars. As the leader of the content and communications team, this role shapes the content strategy, maintains editorial standards and brand voice, and ensures we understand and engage our audiences.

Your mission is to help Taulia put strategic storytelling to work across all forms of content, from case studies to press releases, webinars to articles, event speaking abstracts, social media, and more. Having earned your stripes as a practiced and prolific content creator in the SaaS or fintech space, you know how to craft content that connects. You know how to meet audiences where they are, so that you can take them on a storytelling journey. You will define and execute the content strategy for go-to-market programs and play a critical leadership role in the execution of that strategy. A generalist who can step back and see the big picture, you also won't shy away from rolling up your sleeves to write (or edit) or create content. The ideal candidate will have strong team management experience and the ability to balance priorities and meet multiple deadlines.

You bring experience and the confidence needed to drive change, deliver content that produces results, and ask tough questions. The top candidate will have the following skills, experience and responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as department lead for development and execution of comprehensive and integrated content strategy
  • Provide leadership in creative and brand strategy across all initiatives and deliverables, from print and digital content to integrated campaigns
  • Edit (and create, as needed) exceptional content that meets business objectives towards awareness and pipeline targets
  • Mentor, inspire and guide the content and communications team of three to come up with fresh, high-performing content and creative assets that deliver results, and elevate Taulia’s brand
  • Ensure all work aligns with the company’s overall brand strategy across all mediums and audiences
  • Build an influential creative network and manage relationships with key stakeholders, agencies and vendors
  • Ensure all content created in-house or by vendors adheres to brand standards, brand voice, brand essence and core values
  • Establish content auditing process and execute a regular cadence of content review with focus towards maintaining accurate and relevant material
  • Track KPIs to measure the effectiveness of our content against stated goals
  • Maintain and enforce editorial standards for written, visual, and multimedia content
  • Foster innovative approaches to storytelling for case studies, blogs and other content
  • Develop and maintain an editorial calendar that includes the company’s events and milestones, planned and timely storytelling opportunities, and content that supports go-to-market initiatives
  • Evaluate and enhance our content distribution strategy that leverages company owned and paid media channels including but not limited to publications, websites, YouTube, digital ads, social media, and more
  • Serve as strategic partner to the events team for speaking abstracts, demand gen for ads and website messaging and product marketing teams for go-to-market initiatives
  • Collaborates with product marketers, product managers, sales leaders, and other relevant stakeholders for input and subject matter expertise as part of the content development process.
  • Serve as an integral member of the department's core marketing leadership team
  • Report to and partner with the VP of Marketing, to set the creative vision for Taulia’s content, marketing and communications


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or related discipline required
  • 10 years of brand/marketing/content experience working in B2B software creating high-quality content in the form of press releases, articles, landing pages, ebooks, blogs, case studies and more
  • 5 years experience leading a team of content creators and external agencies
  • Proven ability to translate business objectives and strategies into creative concepts across a variety of objectives (education, awareness, demand generation, etc.)
  • Expert written and verbal communication skills
  • Thinks strategically, connecting ideas to execution and taking advantage of opportunities
  • Strong planning, project management and interpersonal skills
  • Both web and digital media savvy, and skilled at navigating software from Adobe Creative Suite, Slack to G Suite, Asana, MS Office and others
  • Your portfolio of work demonstrates strength in storytelling and a variety of brand, corporate and thought leadership topics
  • Default to a charitable, positive attitude across your work, meaning you are quick to seek understanding and are tempered and measured in your collaborative style
  • Flexibility to occasionally travel, work offsite, outside of regular business and help plan for and attend special events to perform job responsibilities
  • Ability to plan and manage program budget and expenses
  • Background in fintech is a plus
