What does an IT Systems Analyst really do? Think of yourself as someone who will lead in the requirements gathering and analysis of the TaskUs Corporate Applications and client projects, so not just anyone is qualified for this role! Imagine yourself going to work with one thing on your mind: that you will be expected to monitor progress to assure deadlines, and standards are met. As you tackle your new tasks for the day, you know that it will lead to one thing: that you will work closely with upper management to make sure that the scope and direction of each project is on schedule, as well as other departments for support and requirements analysis.
As an IT Systems Analyst, you will plan and document all aspects of the specific project you are working on. You will coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects. You will lead the team in analyzing project requirements - includes scoping, setting up discovery meetings and work estimation. You will develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility. You will also develop a detailed project plan to track progress of each project. You will use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs. You will measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques. You will report and escalate to management as needed. You will manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders. You will establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors. You will create and maintain comprehensive project documentation - includes Business Requirements Documents and project status. You will also maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
So, do you have what it takes to become an IT Systems Analyst?
So, what is it we’re looking for? Well, since this is an IT Systems Analyst post, we need a college graduate, preferably in the fields of computer science or engineering for technical project managers. Someone with a proven working experience (3-5 yrs) as a Systems Analyst in the IT industry - specifically in software development. Someone with a solid technical background, with working knowledge (or hands-on experience) of software development specializing in web apps, browser extensions, mobile and data analytics - includes experience with agile (and waterfall) methodologies. Someone with a solid experience with BPO frontline processes and workflows (i.e. content moderation, hybrid customer support, back office processing, operational KPIs, etc.).
What else? We need someone with excellent client-facing and internal communication skills. Someone with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Someone with solid project management and organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills. Someone with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and MS Project or similar software. Someone with a working knowledge of JIRA, Smartsheet and Visual Studio is a plus
