As a Release Administrator, you will gather the requirements of the end users, provide a solution and implement the best possible solution along with able to set up projects and complex workflows, etc. Work closely with development teams to implement Agile methodology using Jira. Assist with project administration and Agile Board configurations. Manage user provisioning and access & timely maintenance of Jira tool. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for integrations with tools like Git, TFS and Build tools like Jenkins, etc. This person will need to work closely with our Cloud Support Team that supports the infrastructure (patches/ upgrades, monitoring) (if needed)
So, do you have what it takes to become a Release Administrator?
So, what is it we’re looking for? Well, since this is an analyst role, we need someone with at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent
Now let’s get technical. We are looking for someone with 5+ years of experience in working with Atlassian products like Jira, Confluence, BitBucket etc. Someone with a very strong background in Administering JIRA including maintenance/upgrades, configuration, developing, testing, and deploying complex workflows - multiple projects, issues types, automatic status transitions, email triggers across environments, managing Jira plugins, etc. Agile Program Management, Bug Life-Cycle Management, SDLC design advice using JIRA. 3+ years of experience in working with Build tools like Jenkins, Bamboo and with centralised and distributed repositories. 5+ years of experience in Agile and Waterfall development methodologies.
What else? Well, we need someone who has excellent oral and written communication skills. Fluency in the English language. Someone who’s adaptive to changing work schedules and working hours. Someone with customer orientation and can do problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills. Someone who has a strong presentation skills with the ability to speak before internal and external groups. Proficient in creation of user documentation with strong analytical and debugging skills.
