Job Description:

To be effective in this role, agents must be able to perform the following duties;

  • Deliver timely, accurate and professional customer service that is empathetic
  • Quickly research and review issues to confidently communicate effective solutions
  • Be resourceful and possess a strong ability to multitask
  • Remain up to date on new products and services on Etsy.com
  • Identify and assist members with technical issues
  • Contribute to Knowledge Base via technical and process support documentation
  • Identify general patterns when communicating with customers to surface trends
  • Consistently meet or exceed expected performance and service quality goals
  • Maintain a service-oriented, professional and outgoing mindset throughout all interactions. Remain calm and professional through difficult conversations.

About You

  • Impeccable communication, writing skills, and/or phone etiquette
  • A positive and upbeat attitude and ability to successfully communicate empathy
  • General curiosity about how and why things work the way they do
  • Ability to quickly learn and articulate technical concepts
  • Confidence through written and verbal interactions in the English language
  • Strong organization skills with a fine-tuned attention to detail
  • Demonstrated computer literacy
  • Ability to type at least 30 WPM for Voice and 35 WPM for Non-Voice campaigns
  • 2+ years technical/product support

Big Pluses

  • Experience with Email software and services (such as Outlook, MailChimp, or Gmail)
  • Experience with Live chat software (such as Zendesk Chat, Kayako, Front, or Nextiva)
