About This Opportunity

As a Sr. Manager, you will lead an engineering team in an agile environment automating manual tasks that support the package and deploy function for both applications and security patch deployments. The key to the success of this position is having strong & innovative approach to problem solving, great technical leadership, ability to drive the team’s transformation strategy, excellent communication (written and verbal, formal and informal), flexibility, and a self-motivated working style with attention to detail.

  • Provide servant leadership to a team of high caliber automation engineers
  • Accountable for talent management – coach, mentor, develop, career path guidance, performance management
  • Responsible for building technical skills on the team. Nurture a continuous learning environment
  • Manage product financials (TBR)
  • Provide product vision and strategy. Responsible for ensuring product roadmaps are established and maintained collaboratively with the Scrum team, leadership and appropriate partners
  • Understand customer needs and turn them into backlog stories helping the team understand what is needed, but not how to deliver
  • Prioritize the backlog collaboratively with the team
  • Responsible for organizational change management – continuously market, communicate and partner with key stakeholders and customers to ensure adoption of products/services
  • Mitigate risks and remove impediments for the team
  • Manage partners and cross-product dependencies and drive resolutions to conflicts

Requirements

  • 8+ years of leadership/management experienced.
  • Extensive experience working in an agile environment (i.e. servant leadership, user stories, iterative development, etc.)
  • Understanding of the package and deploy functions
  • Understanding of security patching requirements
  • Strong sense of ownership
  • Strong ability to design strategy and drive to fruition
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to variety of audiences
  • Experience with at least one full cycle implementation from requirement to production

Desired Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of managing software development teams with a strong track record of project delivery for large, cross-functional projects
  • BS degree in computer science or equivalent
