Role Description:
As a Sr.Reporting & Insight Manager, you will lead and manage a team of analysts who report, track, and provide analysis for the key accounts/vendors and Target Media Network (TMN) campaigns. Reporting is an evolving LOB and our measurement teams are constantly working on innovating new methodologies; you'll need to be a team player, learn quickly and share the knowledge with the team/peers by conducting workshops & trainings, creating documentation, defining KPI's, generating best practices, and establishing industry benchmarks. In addition to managing the team, the Reporting & Insights Manager, carries a mind-set of working backwards from guest data and generating insights to deliver higher performance for vendors advertising on TMN. He/she needs to understand the context of various media metrics, combine them with the learnings obtained from the historical data for campaign/vendor/products and derive actionable insights. Identifying the opportunities of automations and work with the products teams to automate processes to deliver on productivity, efficiency and ease of doing business with TMN . One must be keen to learn in-depth implementation of various analytics, measurement tools at Target and devise best practices to utilize/provide suggestions to improve them. Target has developed cutting-edge in-house leading methodologies to track and generate accurate performance results.

  • Manage a team that launches thousands of media campaigns each year; create new processes, timing and action, KPIs and partnerships to enable success; craft team goals that ladder up to the total team annual vision and strategy
  • Consult and provide guidance to developing an international support team; exceptional cultural understanding and communication skills required
  • Partner closely with Account Management, Target India, Product and EDABI, the ideal candidate will strive to build relationships across teams to find new value-add opportunities, improve program performance, and increase process efficiency
  • Manage team members and ensure campaign set-up is correct, draw on expertise in technology, tools, program and client management to coach team through problem solving, process, and analysis
  • Develop and maintain an intimate knowledge of top clients' businesses and ensure that all client media requirements are executed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Own and manage work related to third party ad serving platforms for operational purposes, including tag management, website tagging strategies, ad trafficking, campaign asset troubleshooting, reporting, and discrepancy monitoring
  • Oversee creation, maintenance, and production of regular campaign reports as well as operational, site performance and business reports
  • Provide analytical leadership and vision on using analytics in a digital and big data environment to uncover new insights that drive decisions that impact the business
  • Consult with media strategy and other business partners helping define their needs and prioritize efforts to operationalize new reporting KPIs
  • Guide the pragmatic approach to use web/media analytics, data science, testing and new technologies to drive productivity, sales and a superior business result
  • Lead the development and application of advanced, scalable approaches to media optimization and business planning. Drive key tactic, sales and efficiency KPI's
  • Fully scope ad hoc analytics projects including identifying resources and assets needed, determining analysis approach, conducting analysis, and developing execution plans
  • Develop plan and roadmap to assess and refine existing tools, vendors and infrastructure to scale operations, increase efficiencies, and improve quality of results; scope, budget and prioritize projects
  • Work across product, UX, Target India teams to identify automation opportunities
  • Partner with technical and non-technical resources across the business to leverage their support and integrate our efforts
  • Foster and inspire a culture of innovation, collaboration, intense curiosity and a drive for continuous improvement

About You:
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (computer science, statistics or related)
  • 10+ years of experience in digital media, web analytics, ecommerce; 5 years managing a team
  • Expert understanding of ad server, campaign management tools.
  • Expert knowledge of web analytics tools, both 3rd party and proprietary, and ability to consolidate and tell stories with data
  • Ad tech and operations industry insider understanding
  • Exceptional understanding of the digital measurement space, analytics tools/pixels
  • Ability to judge and quantify results of advertising (i.e., understand true value of ROI, impact of results, compare actual results to benchmarks) and know what to do with this information (how to optimize placements, make recommendations etc.)
