About This Opportunity

Use your skills, experience and talent to be a part of strategic initiative to accelerate a holistic migration off of the current Target mainframe environment. As a Senior Engineer, you will be an integral part of a team developing innovative techniques to re-architect, refactor and re-platform business critical mainframe applications and redeploy them leveraging cloud and modern infrastructure compute and data store solutions. We are looking for a highly productive, curious, self-motivated individual who can navigate the complexities of our legacy applications and drive new solutions to improve them.

Desired skills and experience include:

●Experience with Unix system admin and related platforms such as Linux and Oracle

●Knowledge of software quality and testing methodologies

●Solid foundation in security engineering and security protocols

●Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments using tools such as Chef, Spinnaker, Jenkins, GitHub, HipChat, Artifactory, Docker and Kubernetes

●Background in related mainframe technologies such as z/OS, Cobol and DB2 helpful, but not required

Requirements

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years total work experience
  • Has in-depth knowledge of state-of-the art engineering technical approaches in design, build, testing, debugging problems as required by domain
  • Maintains technical knowledge within areas of expertise
  • Stays current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self-directed education
