JOB POSITION:Lead Engineer
LOCATION: 50 South 10th Street, Minneapolis, MN 55403
DUTIES:Conduct architectural assessments; design, develop, and define architectural solutions for complex applications; conduct performance analysis to provide improvement suggestions; develop design specifications and parameters in compliance with architectural blueprints and technology standards; implement infrastructure components to meet functional and non-functional activities; ensure solutions are based on industry best practices and design patterns; collaborate with team members to promote re-use and develop consistent software construction processes; document all programming and systems changes; write technical specifications and create prototypes; diagnose, isolate, and de-bug software problems and perform problem resolution; provide preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and resolving routine problems to ensure stability; and assist team members with technical guidance. Tools and technologies used: Java, J2EE/JEE, NODE.js, Gulp, Spring Boot, Groovy, PHP, Python, PERL, Ruby, Oracle, Mysql, MongoDB, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Filebeat, Kibana, Unix, Shell Scripting, Prometheus, Sensu, Consul, ETCD, Grafana, Git, Tomcat, Jetty, Nginx, HaProxy, Apache Httpd, Varnish, memcached, Chef, JIRA, Crowd, Confluence, Jenkins, Drone, Piwik, Docker, Kubernetes, Spinnaker, Openstack, AWS, and Google Compute Platform.
REQUIREMENTS:This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering and at least five (5) years of post-baccalaureate, progressive experience in application design (any title) conducting architectural assessments using Java, J2EE/JEE, and Jenkins, including at least one (1) year of experience using Groovy, Chef, Kubernetes, Docker, and Google Compute Platform.
