Engineer - Cart and Checkout Team

Are you interested in languages like Kotlin? Are you excited about building high volume, high concurrency applications? Help build the future of retail with Target! We are currently seeking a full-time Engineer at our offices in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Engineer will be responsible for writing, developing and testing software that powers the shopping experience for guests in Target stores and online. The key to the success of this position is having strong & innovative approach to problem solving, great technical leadership, excellent communication (written and verbal, formal and informal), flexibility, and a self-motivated working style with attention to detail.

About Our Team

The checkout team is responsible for building APIs and applications that allow guests to buy items from Target. We are expanding our mission to capture guest orders from new channels and experiences.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer engineering, electronics engineering, engineering, or a related field

Desired Qualifications

12-factor application design
Kotlin, Groovy, and Java programming languages
Ratpack and Spring Boot web frameworks
Domain driven design
