The Head of Local Marketing is accountable for the success of Tapingo’s physical marketing program, from experiential brand events to word-of-mouth awareness. This role is responsible for filling the top of the marketing funnel, driving broad positive awareness of Tapingo, while driving new users to engage with the Tapingo app and platform.

This role will devise a unified, programmatic approach to field marketing, incorporating a variety of channels and tactics to achieve Tapingo’s adoption and engagement goals. The role will also be responsible for creating systems to track and measure success of field marketing campaigns and initiatives across hundreds of college campuses.

This is a heavily strategic, creative, and operational role, requiring strong executional skills and exceptional business acumen.

Responsibilities

  • Create a marketing plan that leverages physical marketing (including print collateral, flyers, brochures, etc), out of home advertising, guerrilla marketing, event marketing, and referral networks to achieve Tapingo’s adoption, engagement, and revenue goals
  • Responsible for the team that activates the campus ambassador program
  • Lead a team to execute on this plan to budget and on schedule, while achieving the target results
  • Work with the Product and Platform Marketing teams to achieve full-funnel customer acquisition, engagement, and retention
  • Educate Tapingo’s audience on the Tapingo brand and lifestyle
  • Work with Tapingo’s partners on co-branded campaigns, initiatives, and events

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum five years’ experience leading field marketing strategy and operations across hundreds of markets
  • Excellent management skills and experience managing teams
  • Experience in fast-growing companies

  • Ability to be creative under pressure
