VP, Sales Planning & Analytics

T2 is seeking a highly motivated and seasoned executive to lead Take-Two Interactive's Sales Planning & Analytics Group. The "SPA" group works closely with Rockstar Games, 2K Games and all Take-Two corporate groups to provide information, forecasts, performance metrics and insights to help shape key business decisions on our strong lineup of games and catalog. Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Sales Planning & Analytics department, including Director and team of analysts
  • Own all sales reporting and analysis for physical goods in the Americas and digital sales globally
    • Ensure timely delivery of reporting and forecasting to guide business decisions
    • Lead methodology discussions with Label execs, Finance, marketing teams, and Sales
    • Develop and maintain a sound knowledge of the US/CAN/Latin American and Global Digital video game markets and trends
  • Act as lead analytics liaison with internal departments: Sales, IT, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, and Label Executives
    • Spearhead communication with these departments in the areas of risk, opportunity, targets, cutoffs, changes, and delays; provide scenarios in each case.
    • Build relationships and credibility with internal departments via transparent, efficient, and timely reporting and analysis
  • Work with Sales Management to guide sales department’s strategy, communication, and go to market plans
    • Track new release sales performance and provide executive summaries to the company
    • Work with Territory Sales Directors, Digital and Channel Marketing to optimize life cycle planning & pricing strategy
    • Drive digital analyses and discussion about digital promotional performance; conduct regular assessments of performance vs. projections and communicate results internally
  • Lead contact with market research partners including The NPD Group, IDG, and others
    • Drive reporting and dissemination of sales information throughout company
    • Streamline the incorporation of competitive sales analysis into T2 planning
  • Act as lead voice in collaborating with IT on selection, integration, and development of technology and business intelligence tools that improve reporting visibility, speed, and the visual presentation of information
  • Spearhead quarterly and annual target setting process for sales and act as lead voice in collaborating with Finance, label and corporate executives
  • Provide value-added service to key external partners, building strategic, reciprocal alliances between T2 and its customers

Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years in a similar role
  • BA/BS degree; preferably in a business or related field; MBA or advanced degree in data science, statistics or analytics preferred
  • Extensive data interpretation experience and the ability to communicate insight and findings to senior management and external partners in a clear, compelling way
  • Experience in managing planning for the distribution of physical and digital goods
  • Experience and demonstrated success in building, leading and motivating teams
  • Interest and experience in diving into large sets of data and seeking out the right information to tell the story
  • Understand forecasting models, databases, and have the ability to work with large sets of complex data
    • Applying statistical and regression models and building product and user level models
  • Experience in thriving in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to integrate a multitude of data sources and provide a detailed and insightful output. Experience with incorporating regressions and data segmentation into building predictive models
  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills and experience presenting information to an array of internal and external stakeholders, including C-level management and studio heads
  • Travel up to 15%
  • Strong Technical Skills that include:
    • Expertise in using Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook)
    • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, SUMIF, Macros)
    • Experience with B.I. tools
    • Dashboard creation: Executive level and analyst level
    • Experience with SQL, Java, Python, and presenting information using visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)
    • Coaching and guiding the team with forecasting and applying statistical models
    • Familiarity with statistical software packages (e.g., R, SAS, Stata, etc.)
    • Additional coding and Machine Learning knowledge a plus
