Hyperion Planning Admin/ Developer

Under the direction of the Director of Enterprise Performance Management, the Hyperion Planning Administrator is responsible for developing the Planning\Essbase systems to support the business needs. The administrator is responsible for maintenance, analysis, design and development of the Hyperion System 11 suite. The administrator works closely with the business community to deliver, maintain, troubleshoot and enhance system functionality. The candidate should add value to the financial software applications and business through their knowledge of Hyperion Planning\Essbase, Smart view and reporting products with their constructive teamwork, managing the business and building relationships with other departments at T2. The administrator will align reporting with the business needs in accordance with best practices and known reporting standards.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • 3-7 years' experience in Hyperion Planning development and administration
  • Experience with other Planning tools e.g. Anaplan a plus
  • Consulting experience preferred
  • Knowledge of integration between external systems
  • Project management experience a plus
  • Proven experience in providing system support and direct contact with users to solve issues with business applications


TECHNICAL SKILLS:
  • Financial process and functional knowledge required
  • Understands dependencies and interrelationships between functional components of Hyperion Planning\Essbase forms, business rules, calculation scripts, variables and databases
  • Essbase BSO and ASO cubes - Outlines, dimensions, measures, members, metadata administration with ability to design databases and complex calculations
  • Design, build and troubleshoot cubes and related objects
  • Planning\Essbase application configuration
  • Strong knowledge of ODI
  • Automation, SQL, Batch scripting, Esscmd and MaxL
  • Data Loads, batch jobs, automation and scripting MaxL
  • Provide alternatives based on best practices and application functionality

  • Demonstrate work planning and prioritization skills
  • Analytical and assessment skills essential
