About the Job:

Are you interested in working on cutting-edge software technology that will have a direct impact on millions of customers and over 7,500+ restaurants? As a Sr. Platform Engineer I (AWS Infrastructure/Serverless) at Taco Bell, you will have an incredible opportunity to be a hands-on contributor to our fast-growing eCommerce software engineering team. Your experienced technical background and problem-solving ability will be critical as we solve new challenges at a huge scale, all while using the latest and greatest cloud-native technology. The Sr. Platform Engineer I (AWS Infrastructure/Serverless) will report to the Director of SRE/Platform Engineering and be part of an innovative eCommerce team.    

The Day-to-Day:

  • Perform DevOps tasks such as assisting with CI/CD pipelines, creating CDN/WAF rules, and setting up shared infrastructure when needed to support other development teams. 
  • Develop and maintain reusable templates, automation scripts, and golden paths for engineering teams to improve development efficiency and reduce time to market. 
  • Ensure that engineering teams build software that is resilient, secure, and follows cloud best practices, providing recommendations and prescriptive solutions. 
  • Audit existing applications to ensure they meet cost optimization, security, performance, scalability, and resiliency standards. 
  • Stay up to date with emerging trends in cloud computing, DevOps, and related technologies. 
  • Adopt Agile development methodologies and be part of an innovative platform engineering team. 

Is This You?

  • BS degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent years of experience. 
  • At least 5+ years of enterprise experience with DevOps, cloud engineering, and software development. 
  • Experience with programming languages (NodeJS or Python), CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and DevOps tools such as Serverless Framework, CDK, Terraform, CloudFormation, and GitLab 
  • Experience with CDN/WAF technologies such as Akamai and CloudFront 
  • Strong experience with Source Control, Agile, and Scrum. 
  • Knowledge of AWS-managed Serverless solutions (API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, S3, etc.) a plus.

Salary Range: $108,700 to $164,670 annually + bonus eligibility + equity (if applicable) + benefits
