About the Job:

The Regional Director of Franchise Operations is responsible for overseeing the Eastern region of the US and will drive impact across the Taco Bell business by setting bold goals and driving relentless action. Suitable candidate must live in the Eastern region. Ideal locations would Norfolk, VA, Nashville, TN, Knoxville, TN, Tampa, FL, Atlanta, GA, but others considered. This role will focus on problem solving, challenging the status quo and consistently achieving the highest standards for our brand through our large Taco Bell Franchise organizations.  

The Regional Director of Franchise Operations, will lead a high-performing team of Field Team Sr Managers and Operations Consultants, as well as building cross-regional relationships to align strategy up, down and across the brand. The Regional Director of Franchise Operations will report to Sr Director of Franchise Operations

 

The Day-to-Day:

  • Provides strategic leadership for each Market Leader to deliver an exceptional customer experience across a diverse group of restaurants.
  • Leads the way by working with each Market Leader to deliver profit goals and meet targeted flow-thru objectives; utilizes available reports to identify opportunities; encourages a top-line orientation through operational focus; ensures that correct operational procedures are always followed to drive bottom line results.
  • Accountable for coaching and training various levels of Management for operational excellence, supports national training initiatives, involved in process for new employee orientation, monitors training processes to ensure quality training of team and managers
  • Develops and maintains management staffing levels; drives to full management staffing for each location in market; commits to selection process; monitors staffing levels to anticipate sales seasonality
  • Absolutely uncompromising execution of the highest standards of OSHA, local health and safety codes, and company safety and security policy
  • Leads recognition and motivation efforts throughout the Region acknowledging the People that drive our business
  • Does not compromise in creating and maintaining a safe environment for employees and customers
  • Has authority to hire and fire (or participate in those decisions)
  • Resolution oriented in all Employee Relations (ER) activities; provides needed ER assistance to managers; is proactive in addressing ER needs in the market
  • Exhibits ownership when working with Management to resolve chronic Repair & Maintenance (R&M) issues; determines causes of excessive R&M; gathers R&M issues; identifies trends and takes to R&M Business Partners

 

Is This You?

  • 4-year College or University Degree preferred, but not required
  • 8+ years of successful, high sales volume, operational management experience in a Fortune 500 multi-unit retail or restaurant environment
  • Proven ability to drive customer satisfaction, financial performance and employee satisfaction
  • Demonstrated track record of workplace achievement in the selection, coaching and development of managerial employees
  • Business math and accounting skills, and strong analytical/decision-making skills
  • Desire and ability to grow into increasingly strategic roles within the organization leading more scope and scale
  • Great communication skills, and strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours and work in your restaurants at least 30 hours a week
  • Demonstrates a growth mindset
  • Exceptional team building capability

Salary Range: $­­180K to $210k annually + bonus eligibility + equity (if applicable) + benefits
