The Business Analyst develops ad-hoc and recurring business reports; works cross-functionally with various business owners to determine and meet their reporting and analytics needs and ensures timely high-quality reporting and analytics. This analyst brings ideas to the Manager of Business Analytics for discovering new opportunities for understanding and growth.


  • Ensures the company has the necessary reporting for ongoing daily operations and evaluation.

  • Mine, analyze and interpret data from multiple sources.

  • Create & execute scheduled reporting: weekly, biweekly, ad hoc reports

  • Work with business owners to identify information needs and develop reporting; primary partners include the analytics team, management team, sales, finance & accounting, marketing, merchandising and operations.

  • Assists in the design and development of analytical projects designed to understand key business behaviors that drive customer acquisition, retention, and engagement. Ability to reconcile.

  • Supports the development of forecasts, statistical models, segmentation schemes, and data-driven analyses which drive marketing and merchandising efforts around customer acquisition and conversion.

  • Discover new opportunities to optimize the business through analytics and statistical modeling.

  • Partner with the Technology teams to deliver a stable and highly available reporting platform.

  • Maintain reporting and analytical tools.

  • Develop KPI dashboards: Shipping, pricing, Supplier Performance.


  • Information Systems or related field

  • Advanced level Microsoft Access user


  • Minimum 3 years Business Analytics and/or reporting experience

  • PeopleSoft knowledge required

  • Proven background in performing data mining, analysis, and reporting.

  • Maintain discretion with all company information regarding customers, pricing, products, and procedures.

  • The employee must occasionally lift, carry and/or move up to 30 pounds.
