Job Scope:

The IoT multimedia division at Synaptics delivers advanced media processing technology solutions for video and audio applications for the home entertainment market. The employee will have the opportunity to join the silicon design team in the multimedia group that develops Set-top-box, streaming media products such as Chromecast and other connected products.

Job Responsibilities

As a member of the design verification team, the responsibilities for this position include functional verification at a block level, subsystem and full-chip using techniques such as constrained random testing, black box and white box testing concepts.

Besides functional simulation-based verification, the candidate will be responsible for doing the following:
  • Designing testbench building blocks using native system Verilog/VMM/UVM methodology
  • Understanding design microarchitecture and writing testplans, developing tests and coverage metrics
  • Gate level simulations
  • Coming up with design automation techniques for increasing execution efficiency


Job Qualifications

  • MSEE/CS 4-7 years of experience
  • Expertise in System Verilog or equivalent object oriented verification methodology
  • Experience in script writing in PERL, Python
  • Knowledge of C, C++ and UNIX
  • Experience in full chip verification techniques
  • Exposure to the various verification techniques such as coverage based verification, formal verification techniques etc.
  • Experience in writing tests/testplans and test bench components for both functional blocks and full chip
  • Experience on standard bus protocols such as DDR2/3, PCI-E/SATA/USB/Ethernet etc.
  • Ability to write protocol checkers, BFMs
