Job Scope

Synaptics is seeking a result-oriented and self-motivated Business Analyst who is willing to learn the business, work with management team to elicit the high-level requirements, capture the business needs, create and manage data analysis, reporting, market research, competitive analysis and analytics solutions that turn the data into knowledge.

Job Responsibilities

As a business analyst, you will be expected:

  • Interacting with global LCM sales teams and cross function teams, understand/document the requirements, research and analyze the market and customer data to support the strategy and goal development
  • Collect data on customers, competitors and market place, investigate feedbacks about support, product provided and consolidate information into actionable items, reports and presentations
  • Provide competitive analysis on various companies' offerings, identify market trends, pricing/business models, sales and methods of operation
  • Communicate with all cross functional teams to understand their needs and alignment as a whole
  • Compile key pieces of information related to performance against sales objectives to be reviewed by management and report approved plans for processing
  • Proactively analyzes win-loss data and reports on key findings to sales leadership
  • Develop presentations that analyze sales and marketing activities and achievements from SalesForce.com
  • Reporting and analysis for the sales and marketing teams, including: executive reporting of sales and marketing results, key metrics, campaign tracking and strategic analysis
  • Analyzes business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to


Job Qualifications
  • 3-plus years in a Business Analyst or similar role
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Finance, Business, Marketing or related degree
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical abilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent system skills including Excel & PowerPoint are required
  • Ability to perform SalesForce.com administrative functions is a plus
  • A strong interest in business and business development
  • A passion for creating solutions with a positive attitude to change
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to talk to and present to a range of audiences, sometimes acting as a translator between parties
  • Excellent analytical skills and an informed, evidence-based approach
  • The ability to work in dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • A good understanding of information technology and logical reasoning skill
