Job Responsibilities:

  • Marketing expert for each of the BU platforms that are targeted for sale in China, including understanding the specifications and capabilities of each platform in order to provide product recommendations based on customer requirements
  • Technical interface between customer engineering and customer marketing teams to serve as marketing subject matter expert for our products
  • Analyze competitor products and be able to articulate the advantages of the Synaptics solutions
  • Understand customer software requirements and provide direction to the engineering team
  • Define evaluation kits for the China market
  • Create custom demo systems for customers
  • Create integrated demo systems into customer platforms
  • Work with local engineering teams to develop design guides and application notes, including hardware and mechanical implementation documents
  • Participate in customer technical meetings
  • Provide support at China-based trade shows

Required Qualifications:

  • Four year university degree in engineering; master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with smartphone OEM customers
  • Understands both hardware components and software that is integrated into mobile phones
  • Customer focused, self-motivated with a strong desire to win
  • Excellent communication, documentation and presentation skills, in both English and Mandarin
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Detail oriented and very organized
  • Willing to travel up to 50% of the time, including internationally
  • Biometrics experience is a plus
  • Experience working for a foreign company is a plus
