If you are a Performance Software Engineer with 6 or more years of professional experience, you have extensive experience in load simulation, system performance monitoring, bottleneck analysis and other performance related skills, we should talk!

Responsibilities:

  • Translate business goals, requirements, and complex system diagrams to effectively design and drive performance engineering solutions.
  • Drive improvements in system availability, reliability and consistency of software performance across our Symphony product offering
  • Advise and assist delivery teams in design and construction of performant, scalable software solutions
  • Recommend and drive key performance optimizations by collaborating across multiple Product Development and QE and SRE teams.
  • Serve as key contributor to maintaining performance industry standards and Cloud best practices across the organization
  • Perform cloud, front and backend performance root cause analysis, provide key recommendations
  • Foster proactive performance engineering by crafting performance lab experiments based on production usage profile analysis.

Required qualifications:

  • BS/Masters in Computer Science or equivalent and 6+ years’ experience in Performance Engineering and Benchmarking
  • Skilled in both the art and science of benchmark creation and measurement and modeling of system behavior under load
  • Extensive experience in load testing tools, especially open source solutions such as Jmeter.
  • Ability to find root cause of performance bottlenecks with profiling tools, pstack, jprofiler.
  • Passionate to optimize the performance bottlenecks and improve the product
  • Experience in tackling problems of load, scale, and optimizations of complex large-scale deployments.
  • Experience in JVM tuning, database performance. Working knowledge of an APM solution such as AppDynamic or New Relic.
  • Experience in a system performance monitoring solution such as Telegraf + Influxdb + Grafana.
  • Experience in SaaS, Microservice , CloudNative software companies and projects
  • Experience with deploying microservices preferred
