Role Description
The SXSW Tech Department is seeking an intern to assist in the support and maintenance of various software products including SXSW.com, SXSW Cart, SXSocial, SXSchedule, etc. The internship will focus on internal and external technical support, evaluation and testing of software, and general administrative duties.
Responsibilities for this position include
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in a technical field
- Have general knowledge and high interest in a technical field
- General troubleshooting, problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Comfortable working and troubleshooting with Mac OS, Windows, Linux, iOS and Android
- Comfortable working with Microsoft Office and Google Docs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organization and documentation skills
- General web development knowledge Nice-To-Haves:
- Familiarity with the SXSW Festival and Conferences
- Past experience with software customer support
- Experience with Web App and User Experience testing
- Interest in learning about the full stack of web development
- A web development portfolio URL
- Ready to get feet wet with tier 1 support

Availability
This position starts ASAP and runs through March 2018. A 10-20 hour a week time commitment and full-time availability during SXSWeek, March 9-18, is required.
