Social Media Intern

Role Description

Reporting to the Social Media Team, the Social Media Video Intern's primary duties will be to assist with the development of video content for all social media channels managed by SXSW, LLC. The intern will help craft social media copy, edit video clips for sharing, and assist with archiving past SXSW content. Additionally, the intern will help source photos, track analytics, and assist in scheduling/monitoring all platforms.

Video editing experience with tools such as Adobe PremiereImage editing experience with tools such as Adobe Photoshop and IllustratorFamiliarity with social media platforms, specifically Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, SnapchatInterest in the creative industryExperience writing and editing content a plusMeticulous attention to detailWork well with a teamFast learner, able to learn new platforms quicklySuperb written and oral communication skills requiredBe agile in a demanding environmentHighly organizedPreferred, but not required: Experience with Hootsuite, WordPress, and Basic HTMLA self-starter who can multitask and solve problems quickly and accuratelyAvailability

The position runs as soon as a suitable candidate can be found through October, 2017. Requires 20 hours per week.
