Digital Media Intern

Role Description

Reporting to the Web Content Team within the Marketing Department, the Digital Media Intern's primary duties will be to assist with the development and curation of content for websites and social media channels managed by SXSW, LLC. The intern will help craft blog and social media copy, edit video clips for sharing, and assist with archiving past SXSW content. Additionally, the intern will help source photos, track analytics, and assist in scheduling/monitoring on all platforms.

Superb written and oral communication skills requiredExperience writing and editing contentVideo editing experience with tools such as Adobe PremiereImage editing experience with tools such as Adobe Photoshop and IllustratorFamiliarity with social media platforms, specifically Twitter, Facebook, and InstagramInterest in the creative industryMeticulous attention to detail; highly organizedWork well within a team and independently on projectsSelf-starter who can multitask and solve problems quickly and accuratelyBe agile in a demanding environmentPreferred, but not required: Experience with Hootsuite, WordPress, and Basic HTMLAvailability

The position runs as soon as a suitable candidate can be found through April 2018. Requires 20 hours per week; and full-time from March 9-18. There will be longer hours leading up to the event, including at least two Saturday meetings.
