Position Summary

 

The person in this role will join a small but growing team bringing the capabilities of Sunrun’s residential solar+storage product to both homeowners and to utilities.   You will work on a completely new platform based on state of the art technologies and will be driving technical and architecture decisions that will affect the platform for years to come. 

Responsibilities

  • Establish the standards for the team in areas of technical excellence.
  • Work collaboratively with Product Management and our UX designers to develop applications that can be tested easily and will perform well under a variety of network conditions.
  • Champion adherence to best practice development methodologies.
  • Facilitate automated testing so all teams can innovate at a rapid pace.
  • Mentor and build skills across the team through effective standards setting, code reviews and pairing.

Qualifications

  • Experience with BDD and JS unit testing frameworks. (Jasmine, Mocha)
  • Experience with React and Flux is a big plus. More specifically Redux as ‘flux’ framework.
  • Experience with module bundlers. (Webpack)
  • Experience with different approaches to handling async in Javascript i.e Promises/Callbacks/Observables.
  • Experience with ES6. (using babel for transpiling)
  • Solid understanding of MVC architecture and frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills. Good team player.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
